New Grand Cherokee SRT8

Chrysler Group's Street and Racing Technology (SRT) division has worked its magic again, resulting in the Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 with a 6.1L HEMI V8 engine. With 313 kW (420 Hp) on tap and an advanced Jeep 4WD system putting the power to the ground, 100 km/h arrives in around 5 seconds - regardless of whether the pavement is wet or dry. Bilstein dampers and Brembo brakes keep things under control when turning and stopping, and Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8's lucky occupants enjoy race-inspired interior details and ultra-premium materials.

Appropriate to its role as ‘the quickest-ever Jeep’ the Grand Cherokee SRT8’s exterior styling follows the SRT credo with functional exterior enhancements unique to this model, which boost performance and resonate with brand character. The new model’s lowered, aggressive stance shows its unmistakable Jeep identity endowed with Street and Racing Technology DNA.

An all-new front fascia embodies aerodynamic improvements that reduce lift and drag, while providing sufficient airflow to meet the increased cooling demands of the larger HEMI engine. Unique air intake ducts also help to cool the front brakes. A new rear fascia incorporates an aggressive centre cut-out to accommodate the dual 101 mm diameter exhaust tail pipes.

The Grand Cherokee SRT8 uses a unique four-wheel drive system to help it accelerate to 100 km/h in the low five second range, achieving a top speed of 245 km/h.

Additional SRT treatment further boosts the performance and driving experience of the Grand Cherokee SRT8. Functional exterior enhancements include a lower more aggressive stance, a new front facia embodying aerodynamic improvements, air intake ducts which help cool the front brakes, and dual exhaust tail pipes. Unique interior features include deeply sculpted performance front seats with performance suede inserts to hold the occupants securely during spirited driving, and a 276 Watt sound system with Boston Acoustics speakers.

Both passive and active safety features in the Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 have been designed to help keep you safe no matter what the adventure.

These include the standard electronic stability program (ESP) with anti-roll protection, SmartBeam™ Intelligent Headlamps, the antilock braking system, standard tyre-pressure monitoring system, available ParkSense® Rear Park Assist System, and advanced multistage air bags with Occupant Classification System (OCS).
Standard Electronic Stability Program (ESP)

Standard Electronic Stability Program (ESP) enhances vehicle control and stability by countering forces acting on the vehicle. So you’ll have a steadier ride no matter what the terrain.
The ParkSense™ Rear Park Assist System

The ParkSense™ Rear Park Assist System* uses sound waves to detect nearby obstacles in and near the rear path of the vehicle to help you maneuver in tight spaces at parking speeds. Audiovisual indicators in the overhead display in the rear of the vehicle alert you to the proximity of most larger, stationary objects that might be outside your line of sight.

Whether you're in traffic or out on the trail, the available new SmartBeam™ Intelligent Headlamp System adjusts to ambient light and oncoming traffic to deliver maximum lighting no matter what the conditions.
Multistage front air bags absorb the forces associated with frontal impacts. They feature dual-stage inflators that prove the appropriate retraint depending on the severity of the impact. Multistage air bags reduce the potential for injury during low-speed collisions.
