Power from Journey's 2.7L DOHC V6 engine is converted to motion through the standard six-speed automatic transmission. This six-speed allows you to drive with the convenience of an automatic while also supplying the fun of manual driving with AutoStick®. GETRAG® Transmission

Electronic Stability Program with Traction Control
Electronic Stability Program (ESP) is designed to assist drivers in maintaining control of their vehicles during extreme steering manoeuvres. ESP senses when a vehicle is starting to spin (oversteer) or plow (understeer), and attempts to correct the vehicle's course by automatically controlling the throttle and applying the brakes at individual wheels. The control you'll feel is astonishing.

Airbag Protection
All Journey models feature standard next-generation multistage driver and front-passenger airbags, supplemental front seat-mounted side airbags, and supplemental side-impact inflatable curtain airbags for all three rows - that's six airbags of protection in total.

Additionally, an Occupant-Restraint Controller (ORC) deploys airbags as required. The two-stage output also helps the airbag system protect against airbag-induced injuries to small, unbelted or out-of-position occupants.

ParkView® Rear Back-up Camera
Get added peace of mind with Journey's available ParkView® Rear Back-up Camera. With the transmission in reverse, you can conveniently monitor a wide-angle view of what is behind you when backing up.

Antilock Braking System (ABS)
Journey's standard four-wheel ABS with brake assist, helps prevent wheel lockup for shorter stopping distances and improved control under extreme braking or slippery conditions. Brake assist helps the driver overcome a common tendency to not apply the brakes hard enough or quick enough during an emergency stop by using the maximum available pressure to the brakes.

Trailer Sway Control (TSC)
When pulling a trailer, the Trailer Sway Control (TSC) system helps you maintain vehicle and trailer stability by continuously monitoring the driver's intended path vs. steering wheel input and recognizing the unique vehicle motion associated with trailer sway. When the system's yaw sensor recognizes a swaying motion, individual brake pressure is automatically applied to eliminate it, helping to bring the vehicle and trailer back under driver control.

Structural Strength
Journey's unitised upper body forms a structural safety cage to help provide protection in the event of a collision by managing and controlling energy. The front structure is composed of multiple crush zones that undergo a coordinated and optimised sequence of events to help absorb energy. Plus, side impact beams in the front and rear doors help to provide occupant protection.

Theft Deterrents
Let's face it. Journey has a lot going for it, and it gets a lot of attention. That's why state-of-the-art theft deterrents come standard. Operating at a special frequency, the Sentry Key® theft deterrent system will foil virtually all thieves because the engine will not start without the properly encoded key.

The vehicle theft security alarm can lower your insurance premium. Insurance companies like the fact that the system protects from theft and vandalism by monitoring doors and liftgate for unauthorised entry. The alarm sounds by blowing the horn and flashing the indicators.

Seven Seats
Every new Dodge Journey maximises seating flexibility and cargo capability with standard seating for seven. Second- and 50/50 split third-row seats recline for added comfort or fold flat for added cargo space when not in use. Plus, third-row access is easy thanks to one hand, one motion operation of the second-row stadium Tilt 'n Slide™ seat. No matter where your travels take you, Journey can easily trade cargo space for passenger space - right when you need it.

Fold-Flat Front Seat with Flip 'n Stow™
Journey maximises storage utility with new Flip 'n Stow™ under-seat storage. The front-passenger seat cushion flips up to become an innovative storage space that keeps smaller items out of sight. The seat cushion can even remain in the forward position to prevent items like a laptop computer from sliding onto the floor. Plus, the seat back folds down to create a table-like surface or to provide additional cargo carrying capability for longer items.

Tilt/Telescoping Steering Column
Every Journey model lets you tailor your ride with a standard tilt and telescoping steering column. The column telescopes in or out about 25mm and up or down 55mm, to help you find your optimal steering position.

Second-Row Storage
Journey's storage innovation never seems to end. In the second row, two standard in-floor storage bins are designed to store up to twelve, 375ml beverage cans plus ice, or to keep other items out of sight. The bins also feature latching lids and removable, washable liners for added convenience.

Additionally, the middle 20 percent of the second-row seatback folds forward to provide cup holders for those cold drinks, plus a storage bin for small items.

Rear Cargo Storage
Journey is ready for the big stuff. Fold as many of the seats completely flat as needed. With seats up, a convenient cargo compartment offers hidden storage in the rear. Getting items in and out is made easy with a rear liftgate that opens up and out of the way, 90 degrees.
