ESP

Electronic Stability Program* (ESP) is designed to assist drivers in maintaining control of their vehicles during extreme steering maneuvers. ESP senses when a vehicle is starting to spin (oversteer) or plow (understeer), and attempts to correct the vehicle's course by automatically controlling the throttle and applying the brakes at individual wheels.

Air Bags

Sebring Cabrio is designed with you and your passenger's safety in mind. Using an advanced airbag* system with innovative, dual-stage driver and front passenger air bags. This system provides output appropriate to the level of crash severity as determined by the Occupant Restraint Controller (ORC) and the impact sensors at the front of the car.

Structure

Good road feel and responsive cornering begin with structural rigidity and chassis stiffness. Sebring Cabrio's underbody structures contribute to its overall stiffness.

Anti-lock Brakes

The anti-lock brake system (ABS) helps the driver maintain directional control while braking by preventing wheel lock-up. When the ABS system is activated, the system modulates (pulses) the brakes rapidly slowing the vehicle until the system no longer is needed. During turns it automatically balances brake forces at each wheel, helping to keep the vehicle stable while braking and cornering simultaneously.

Security Systems

The convenient remote keyless entry system includes illuminated entry and controls for power door locks, trunk, as well as express windows down feature, if so equipped. (Includes two transmitters.)

The Vehicle Theft Security Alarm deters vandalism and theft by monitoring both the doors- and liftgate ajar switches and ignition system for unauthorised tampering. The standard Sentry Key® engine immobiliser prevents the engine from running without a properly encoded key.
