A touch of class - The all new Chrysler Sebring

Summer 2007

Chrysler Sebring

The Chrysler Sebring combines stunning design and interior craftsmanship with high levels of safety and reliability, performance and fuel efficiency.

“The Chrysler Sebring will sustain the momentum started by the blockbuster hit Chrysler 300C,” said Gerry Jenkins, managing director, Chrysler Group Australia.

“Just as the 300C redefined the large-car segment and signalled the return of the great American car, the Chrysler Sebring combines the levels of reliability and durability that mid-size buyers demand with the standout design that sets all Chrysler’s apart.

“Sebring’s elegant styling provides a clear alternative to European and Japanese competition,” he said.

The new Chrysler Sebring will offer a choice of three engines in Australia. Standard is a 2.4- litre petrol engine with dual variable valve timing (VVT). Also available will be a state-of-the-art 2.0- litre turbo diesel engine, and at a later stage a 2.7-litre V6 petrol engine.

The Chrysler Sebring includes a host of new technology and features, ranging from a cutting-edge information, entertainment and communication navigation audio system to a heated/cooled front cupholder for keeping hot beverages hot and cool beverages cool.

A long list of safety systems includes an Electronic Stability Programme (ESP), advanced multi-stage front air bags, side-curtain airbags and front-seat-mounted side airbags. Pricing and model line-up for the Chrysler Sebring will be confirmed closer to launch.

The Chrysler Sebring Cabrio - America's favourite convertible makes its way to Australia

Summer 2007

Sebring Cabrio

In further evidence of the Chrysler Group’s commitment to growing its local line-up, the Group has recently revealed the all-new Sebring Cabrio, unveiled at the Los Angeles Auto Show earlier this month will be launched in Australia at
the end of 2007.

“Chrysler is a marque on the rise,” said Gerry Jenkins, managing director for the Chrysler Group in Australia.

“It’s the second fastest growing brand in Australia and the Sebring Cabrio is yet another example of our brand’s broadening appeal. “

Along with the Sebring Sedan, which arrives mid-next year, Chrysler will have seven models in the market by the end of 2007, over double the offerings we had only 13 months back,” said Jenkins.

The Chrysler Sebring Cabrio has long held the honour of America’s favorite open-air vehicle having been the best-selling convertible in the United States for seven of the past 11 years. And according to Jenkins this latest model is ideal for the Australian market with its standout design and
value.

“The new Sebring is a stunning four seat two-door Cabrio that not only delivers standout Chrysler design but will offer outstanding value for money compared to other full-sized convertibles in Australia,” said Jenkins.

“We are negotiating hard with the U.S. to achieve a starting price in the mid-$50,000 range. At that price no full-sized convertible comes close!” he said.

Chrysler’s Sebring Cabrio features a retractable hard roof that folds into three sections and stows in less than 30 seconds. Standard roof system features include remote control operation from the key fob, standard powered tonneau cover and automatic latching.

The Chrysler Sebring Convertible will come with a high level of safety features, including Electronic Stability Program and the equivalent of eight air bags as standard, and has been engineered to have an extremely rigid body structure for a quiet, comfortable ride, even when the top is down.

Chrysler SRT8 Touring combines jaw dropping performance and head turning style

Summer 2007

SRT8

hrysler delivers motoring enthusiasts a special New Year’s gift this year launching a high performance Street and Racing Technology (SRT) version of its highly successful 300C Touring, arriving in dealerships in the coming weeks.

The newest variant of the 300C family, like the Sedan SRT8, is powered by the SRT engineered 6.1-litre HEMI® V8, boasting immense power (317 kW) and torque (569 Nm) and impressive performance figures; 0-100 km/h time in the midfive- second range and an electronically limited top speed of 265 km/h.

“Chrysler is exciting driving enthusiasts with the fastest wagon under $150,000,” said Gerry Jenkins managing director for the Chrysler Group in Australia.

“With its combination of jaw dropping performance and style this is surely the coolest wagon on the road.

“We have been able to secure limited numbers of this vehicle for Australia thanks to the phenomenal demand for the 300C – it is a huge hit with the public,” he said.

The 300C Touring SRT8 Sedan is engineered for incredible acceleration and stopping power, with 20-inch alloy wheels, performance tuned suspension and Brembo brakes.

Add to that the exceptional cargo volumes (up to 1,602 litres), thoughtful features like the unique access rear liftgate and even more aggressive styling to the already menacing wagon proportions, and the 300C Touring SRT8 is one compelling package.

The latest vehicle from Chrysler also comes with a high level of standard safety equipment including Electronic Stability Program, anti-lock brake system and advanced multi-stage airbag system.

With 1,723 sales to November (2006 yearto- date), the 300C has largely driven growth this year muscling a 32 percent share in the large car segment (upper large under $100,000). Significantly the 300C SRT8, until now only available in sedan guise, accounts for over ten percent of total model sales.

Chrysler brand sales of 3,369 are up 56 percent for the year making Chrysler one of the fastest growing brands in Australia.

The 300C SRT8 Touring is the fourth SRT branded vehicle to be sold in Australia, joining the high performance 300C SRT8 Sedan, the Chrysler Crossfire SRT6 and the Jeep® Grand Cherokee SRT8.

The 300C SRT8 Touring exemplifies the SRT formula of all-around performance at a very attractive price complimented with expressive yet functional design.

The Chrysler 300C Touring and Sedan now share the same potent engine line-up; a 3.5-litre V6 petrol engine, 5.7-litre HEMI® V8 petrol engine, a Mercedes-Benz 3.0- litre CRD turbo diesel engine, and the high performance 6.1-litre HEMI® V8.

Like the entire Chrysler 300C family of vehicles that are sold in Australia, the 300C SRT8 Touring will be built at Magna Steyr Manufacturing Facility in Graz, Austria. ■
